2014.07.17(四)

Today, I was nervous, because I was worried about whether I can communicate with foreign people. On the other side, I was excited. I hoped that I can make friends with foreign people and broaden my horizon. The plane took off at eight thirty. I couldn’t fall asleep when I sat on the plane. Fortunately, the dinner and breakfast on the plane were very delicious. About twelve hours later, we came to Los Angeles in California. I saw many foreign people from different countries in the airport. The man who checked my passport was very friendly. He asked some questions about why I came here and He started to ask my feeling about my trip. Then, he wished my trip will be wonderful and said welcome to California! Next, we had our dinner in IN-N-OUT. The hamburger was very big and delicious. Finally, we came to our inn, Howard Johnson.

2014.07.18(五)

I lived with my friends Coco, Amy and Jasmine. We got up at four thirty because we had jet lag. We chat until six o’clock. I had the first breakfast in California. I ate eggs, bacon, pancake and a cup of milk. I like the milk because it was very fresh there. After that, we went to Disneyland!!!! It was big and fantastic!!! Every little girl wore the princess dress or fairy wing. We played all facilities in Adventureland. They were very exciting!!! In the evening, we saw a show which was on the lake. It was very great! Every princess and characters in Disney stood on a big cruise ship. After the show, we saw the firework on the sky. It was very beautiful!!! I like it! We were very tired today, so we went to bed early.

We visit the place which was Oscar award ceremony. There were many stars on the floor on the street. Many actors or actresses’ name were carved in the star. Then, we went to Universal Studio Hollywood The Entertainment Capital of L.A. We played many facilities and watched some 3D movie. After that, we took a garden travelling car to familiar with the place which Hollywood made a movie. The street was very real!! I couldn’t believe it was fake! We went to a warehouse and experienced the earthquake. Many buildings collapsed and the train derailed. It was so awesome and cool! Next, we went to a place which showed us air crash. There was wreckage and a big plane on the ground. It was so real!!! I hoped I can take my family to here in the future because it can broaden our horizon!!!

Today, we visited to Solvang. There were many beautiful and cute houses, so we took a lot of pictures there. In the afternoon, we had our lunch in IN-N-OUT. Somebody had MacDonald. I ate MacDonald because I liked to eat chicken nugget!! Then, we started to go to East Bay University. On the way to there, we took a rest in a wharf. There were many seals. In the evening, we had our dinner in a Chinese restaurant. The dishes made me miss Taiwan. HAHA.. About eight o’clock, we came to California State University East Bay. A student took us to our dormitory. He was Danny. We lived in a beautiful dormitory. I also lived with Coco, Amy and Jasmine. The room was very big and great! There was a kitchen and a living room!!! I liked it very much!

2014.07.21(一)

The weather was cold in the morning in East Bay University. I was very excited to start to know the new place and experienced different life. I thought this university was too big to go to a place. We spent about fifteen minutes to walk to Art & Education building. I was a little tired… we had a test to divide us into two classes. In the afternoon, Danny took us to familiar with the campus. We chatted with Danny and we had a good time. He said he was nineteen years old . I couldn’t believe! Because he looked like 25 years old.. HAHA.. After that, we knew our class. Jasmine and I was in Class A. My friends Coco, Amy, Fenny and Kylie were in Class B. What a pity! In the evening, we did the laundry in a room. We had to store some money in our card that we could wash and dry our clothes. It was very special!

2014.07.22(二)

I was glad to meet our new teacher Victoria today. She was a happy woman, because she always wore the smile on her face. I liked her smile She was also very friendly and kind. She told us the history and geography about some territories, but I just understand a little what she said. HAHA.. In the afternoon, the P.E. class was canceled, so my friends and I went to bookstore to waste our time! There were many clothes, food, souvenir and stationery in the bookstore. We had a conversation class at 3 o’clock. The assistant was Brian. He was a shy man and he was not very talkative. We also very shy to talk with him…time flied.. In the evening, we had many interesting activities outside until 9 o’clock. We all had a great time!!!!

I was also happy to meet my new teacher Ben today! Firstly, I thought he was queer, but I thought he was a nice and patient teacher now!!!! I loved him very much, because he had a big passion in teaching and he always prepared our class fully. I liked his introduction. We could say stop and rewind. It was very interesting! We were divided into four groups to practice some basic conversation such as What about you? Or And you? After lunch, we visited to Oakland Museum. It was very beautiful and big! We had to put our bag ahead of us and we sometimes had to carry our bag with hand. After that, we went to K-mart to but some commodity. I bought a bag because my bag was broken.. HAHA.. On the way to our dormitory, I saw three deers on the hill. They were so cute!!!! This was my first time to see deer in person!!

Today, my friends Coco and I slept in. We were so tired because we went to bed about eleven thirty yesterday. We wrote the dairy together in the living room. I was delightful today. Victoria showed us an animation film Shrek! We watch Shrek 2 in English subtitle. In conversation class, the teacher in our group was Cindy today. She was so friendly that we talked a lot with her and we had a good time, too. After dinner, we had activity. We played Jeopardy!!! We chose the category and money to know the question. Then, everyone who raised the hand firstly he or she could answer the question. Which team got the high score which team can get the candy! But finally everyone all could get candies! HAHA~ After the activity, I hear a bad news! Someone’s dorm had been broken into. I was too scared that I was afraid to enter my room. Thanks to my friends. They accompanied with me

I couldn’t use my Line for three days. I missed my family very much. In the afternoon, we had P.E class. We played soccer in a big ground. We played with a new teacher Joe. He was good at soccer, so he helped us to divide into two teams. We had a good time! After that, we went to our dorm to take a shower. Kylie, Fenny and I bumped into three deer! How lucky we were! They walked in front of us and they suddenly vanish in the trees. In the evening, we had an activity. We watched Step up 3 with teacher. There were not subtitle on the screen. Fortunately, my friends and I had watched it in Shu-Te, so we all understand the content! I like this movie because it is about dancing.

2014.07.26(六)

Today was Saturday. This was the first Saturday we lived in San Francisco. First, we went to Stanford University. The college there was so big that we spent a long time to walk there. The buildings there were also beautiful and amazing! How cool! We bought some souvenir in the bookstore. There were many big sward in Stanford University. Many people lied down on the grass or played volleyball there. Second, we went to Intel museum. I didn’t know what they display, because the words all in English. Third, we went to the ‘’Apple’’ company! But we couldn’t enter there. We only took some pictures and left there. Next, we went to eat crispy donut! I thought it was not very delicious because it was too sweet! HaHa.. Finally, we went to Google Company. We couldn’t enter there so we also took some pictures and came back. It was a nice day!

Today, I slept until 9:10 AM. I felt so happiness, because I had to get up at 6:40 AM on Monday to Friday. First, we went to visit to Golden Gate Bridge. It was so far to go there that I had carsick. Golden Gate Bridge was very beautiful and amazing! We took a lot of pictures there. Second, we went to visit to Palace of Fine Art. There were many beautiful houses, a beautiful palace and lake. It was a nice view! Third, we went to fisherman wharf. We bought some souvenir and took some photos. Next, we crawled a slope. It was so inclined but its view was so perfect! I felt tired but happy today!

Today, I was very surprise! Guess what I saw? Jasmine and I saw a group of turkey on the hillside, but I could not see very clear. I heard a boy say turkey was very ugly. At the first time, I thought they were ostrich. HaHa..! The lesson was fun today because Ben always thought a lot of ideas combined with English to teach us. I like his class very much!! He gave a lot of thought about how to start a conversation and how to response. It was very useful! I heard a bad news after we played Jeopardy. Someone had bothered by foreign people last night. It was so awesome!!

Because some girls were bothered by some foreign people yesterday, Coco and I moved to another room with my friends Jasmine and Amy. So we lived in the same bedroom. I thought it was so excited and interested to sleep with my friends. We watched the movie Zorro this morning. It was a good movie. Its songs in the movie sound very well. We sang together with Victoria. In the afternoon, we did a mini experiment. It was like a battle. We stuck the balloons on the straw. It was very interesting! In the evening, I heard news! We will live another dormitory on Thursday due to our safety.

It was very chill in the morning! We did a special thing in the class. Ben asked us to discuss a trip plan and drew a poster. It was so interesting! After that, Ben asked us to present our poster to everyone in different group. It was so difficult because I was nervous to stand on the stage. But finally I tried my best to do it! After lunch, we went to Boomers entertainment! I felt disappointed because they just only had few facilities to play. I thought it was not more than five facilities in outdoor. We played car race twice time… then we left. Next, we went to outlet for one hour. In the evening, we played Jeopardy again. My friends Fenny, Kylie, Amy, Coco, Jasmine, Johnny and I were in the same group. I was so excited and delightful to play with them. HaHa.. We had a good time! Today was Fenny’s Birthday!!! We celebrated her birthday in her room and we also had a good time!

Today was Victoria’s class. We finished the movie Zorro. I thought it was really a good movie, but I didn’t like the end of the movie because the old Zorro was dead. We sang The mask of Zorro thing song together. It was a beautiful song that I always sang this song in my free time. In the afternoon, we played Olympics. We played a lot of games and also enjoy the time. We changed our dormitory this night. We had 4 members before, but now we had 8 members in a room! I thought the life here would be happier than before~ HAHAHA

2014.08.01(五)

Today, we also did the presentation in Ben’s class. Ben taught us how to use the words to start our topic and the stress of the sentence. He let everyone to choose the topic by ourselves. I chose the animation “One piece”. First, I had to organize what I would talk about next. Then, I wrote the detail. Finally, I presented it to my partners in my group. In the afternoon, we went to a store next to the Starbucks in East Bay University. We found many foreigners there so we asked them some easy questions and took the pictures with them. They all came here for their child’s orientation. I thought talking to the foreign people was not as difficult as I thought, because they were very kind and willing to response and took photo with you. In the evening, it was Movie Time!! We watched Step up 4. It was really cool!!!! I like it! They danced abruptly wherever they went. We had a great time!!!!

Today, we had breakfast in MacDonald. We ate a hamburger and a cup of juice. Then, we went to Six Flags entertainment. I was so excited, because everyone had said it was a nice place to play. We divided some groups. First, we played MEDUSA. It was so cool! Second, we played KONG! It whirled continuously but I was very excited. In the afternoon, we watched a dolphin show. It was so amazing! Dolphins moved its body and there were some acrobats perform the show. After lunch, we played ROAR and V2-Vertical Velocity. I thought what I played today was awesome! I was still very excited when I went to bed. HAHA.. I like this entertainment very much!!!!!

Today, I got up at eight thirty in this morning. Then, we went to Berkley University. Its gate was very beautiful. There were some beautiful and gorgeous buildings in the campus. There was also a building like a part of castle. It was so cool that I took many pictures there. Next, we went to outlet. First, we went to U.S. POLO ASSN to buy many clothes. I bought two shirts to my mom and I. Its quality was really soft and comfortable. Second, we also went to FOX to buy clothes. Its clothes were all fashionable. My friends bought many clothes there. After that, we went to GHIRARDELLI to buy chocolate. There were many kinds of chocolate. Their chocolates were delicious and cheap only 5 for 10$. I bought thirty piece of chocolate, because my mom had asked me to buy over 20 piece of chocolate. They were very heavy. We had a good time in Outlet!

It was very cold today. We did many activities in Ben’s class. In the beginning of the class, Ben asked us to draw a graph to show our mood on Friday to Sunday. Then, shared with your partner and asked some questions. I thought it was fun! We also had Karaoke Time. We listened to many English songs and a few people sang with assistants. We had a good time. We played Jeopardy, too. The categories were difficult today, such as Bugs/insects, Pixar and Mythical creature. In the evening, I made PPT with my teammates in room 947 until eleven thirty. I was tired.

The weather was too cold today that I woke up early.. Recently, we were very busy, because we had a lot of things to do. Today, Victoria showed us a movie “Knight tale”. I was a little uncomfortable, so I slept on the desk while the movie started. In the afternoon, we did an activity. We had to find the places which were on the paper and we had to take the pictures at the same place. It was very fun! Our group got the second prize-A notebook with a pan! I like it! In the evening, we played Jeopardy! The categories were also changed. We all had a good time.

Today, Ben taught us many useful phrases. Then, we used the phrase to make a sentence and asked to the partner. After that, we discussed our presentation and made the PPT. Finally, we took the pictures with Ben outside. In the afternoon, we went to downtown by school bus. We chose to shop in the Lucky. It was a big supermarket. I bought a can of OREO and a piece of chocolate. Today was Cindy’s birthday!!! We all celebrated her birthday~~ We sang the birthday song together and ate the delicious cupcake. Brian and someone bought cakes together for us. Thank you!!! After that, we had Movie Time!!

Today, we watched a movie which we had watched it half last time. Its name was “knight tale”. I didn’t see it last time, but I understand the story it showed. I liked William very much. He was a great knight! In the afternoon, we discussed our presentation in the computer classroom which in the Music Building. Coco was very kind to type the script for all teammates. I really appreciated her!!! In the evening, we discussed our presentation in AE183 as well.

Today, I was nervous. We had to stand on the stage to present our PPT. I was too nervous to forget what I had to say, but I finally finished my part. I thought we all do well on our presentation. We had lunch with our assistants and teachers. We took a lot of pictures with them. I was so sad to say goodbye to them. They were so nice that I didn’t want to leave here. When we went on the bus, they still said goodbye to us… I had a good time in East Bay University. Thank you for accompanying us all the time!!!

After leaving the university, we went to westfield shopping center. It was so big that we didn’t have enough time to shopping~~ I bought a wallet to my dad, because he spent a lot of money to let me join this trip. I really appreciated his help. The plane took off at 1A.M. We were so tired, but we expect to go back to Taiwan as soon as possible. I miss Taiwan. I miss my family.

Its gate was very beautiful. There were some beautiful and gorgeous buildings in the campus. There was also a building like a part of castle. It was so cool that I took many pictures there. Next, we went to outlet. First, we went to U.S. POLO ASSN to buy many clothes. I bought two shirts to my mom and I. Its quality was really soft and comfortable. Second, we also went to FOX to buy clothes. Its clothes were all fashionable. My friends bought many clothes there. After that, we went to GHIRARDELLI to buy chocolate. There were many kinds of chocolate. Their chocolates were delicious and cheap only 5 for 10$. I bought thirty piece of chocolate, because my mom had asked me to buy over 20 piece of chocolate. They were very heavy. We had a good time in Outlet! 2014.08.04(一) It was very cold today. We did many activities in Ben’s class. In the beginning of the class, Ben asked us to draw a graph to show our mood on Friday to Sunday. Then, shared with your partner and asked some questions. I thought it was fun! We also had Karaoke Time. We listened to many English songs and a few people sang with assistants. We had a good time. We played Jeopardy, too. The categories were difficult today, such as Bugs/insects, Pixar and Mythical creature. In the evening, I made PPT with my teammates in room 947 until eleven thirty. I was tired. 2014.08.05(二) The weather was too cold today that I woke up early.. Recently, we were very busy, because we had a lot of things to do. Today, Victoria showed us a movie “Knight tale”. I was a little uncomfortable, so I slept on the desk while the movie started. In the afternoon, we did an activity. We had to find the places which were on the paper and we had to take the pictures at the same place. It was very fun! Our group got the second prize-A notebook with a pan! I like it! In the evening, we played Jeopardy! The categories were also changed. We all had a good time. 2014.08.06(三) Today, Ben taught us many useful phrases. Then, we used the phrase to make a sentence and asked to the partner. After that, we discussed our presentation and made the PPT. Finally, we took the pictures with Ben outside. In the afternoon, we went to downtown by school bus. We chose to shop in the Lucky. It was a big supermarket. I bought a can of OREO and a piece of chocolate. Today was Cindy’s birthday!!! We all celebrated her birthday~~ We sang the birthday song together and ate the delicious cupcake. Brian and someone bought cakes together for us. Thank you!!! After that, we had Movie Time!! 2014.08.07(四) Today, we watched a movie which we had watched it half last time. Its name was “knight tale”. I didn’t see it last time, but I understand the story it showed. I liked William very much. He was a great knight! In the afternoon, we discussed our presentation in the computer classroom which in the Music Building. Coco was very kind to type the script for all teammates. I really appreciated her!!! In the evening, we discussed our presentation in AE183 as well. 2014.08.08(五) Today, I was nervous. We had to stand on the stage to present our PPT. I was too nervous to forget what I had to say, but I finally finished my part. I thought we all do well on our presentation. We had lunch with our assistants and teachers. We took a lot of pictures with them. I was so sad to say goodbye to them. They were so nice that I didn’t want to leave here. When we went on the bus, they still said goodbye to us… I had a good time in East Bay University. Thank you for accompanying us all the time!!! After leaving the university, we went to westfield shopping center. It was so big that we didn’t have enough time to shopping~~ I bought a wallet to my dad, because he spent a lot of money to let me join this trip. I really appreciated his help. The plane took off at 1A.M. We were so tired, but we expect to go back to Taiwan as soon as possible. I miss Taiwan. I miss my family.
