7/17

After 12 hours trip, I was really exhausted. Fortunately, the inn wasn’t so far from airport. Before going to inn, we had our dinner at In-N-Out. It sells hamburgers. I ate a large quantity of food there. After dinner, we head to the inn to take rest.

7/18
Today we went to Disney land, the place was fantasy. It was like entering a new world. After going inside, due to the reason of didn’t know where to start, we could only follow teacher. At first, we played a water facility, it was exciting, especially it took photos while it slide down. Next we went to play a facility of Winnie the Pooh, but it breakdown in the half way. So, we turned to other facilities. The other one we played was a train in the mountain, it’s rollercoaster, too. But it was a little faster than others. Then, we went to play Indiana Jones and space mountain, they were all rollercoaster too. When it was lunch time, we went to a pizza shop and have spaghetti, but I can’t finish it all. After taking a rest, we went to a souvenir store to walk around, and then we bought Starbucks coffee to drink. When it was 4 p.m in afternoon, there was an orchestra, then the follow up were the Disney characters. It was really amazing. Then we took the train to another place to see the laser show and firework at night. After that, we went back to inn and took rest.

Today we went to Universal Studio, at first, we took a photo at the front gate, then we went inside to play around. First facility we played there was Transformers, then we played Jurassic Park adventure. Next we pay a visit of the studio which all the movies were film there, it was magnificent. Then we went to play the mummy rollercoaster. After all of the activities, we went to the nearest place to have hamburgers and then we head back to the inn again.

Today we had breakfast in cafeteria, then we head forward to Solvang, although we spent only a few minutes there, the views of wind mill and sceneries were all beautiful. Then we head to Monterey, at there, we spent a few minutes too and saw sea lions. After having McDonald for lunch, we took a long trip to East Bay university., then we went to the dorm to take rest. After entering the dorm, we withdraw pillows and other commodities.

Today we met our teachers, then we had a test to divide classes. Then we went to have lunch in cafeteria, after then, Danny took us for a walk around the school. After then, we went back to cafeteria to have lunch again. At night, I and my other classmates went down the hill to K-mart and bought some drinks and water. It was a tiring trip to walk up hill. After then, we went back to dorm and take rest.

Today was the first day for us to have class, first class was taught by Victoria, her class is relaxing, no pressure at all. Victoria is amiable, too. In the afternoon, we played The wind blows game and Mime. After dinner we went back to dorm and took rest.

Today was the second day of the class, but it was Ben’s first class. His class is interesting, though he looks cool, but he’s an interesting person. He gave us lots of materials of English idioms. In the afternoon, we went to Oakland Museum to appreciate different kinds of fine art. They were all beautiful. At night, I went to social hall to look for foreign friends, and I met Kevin there, after that, I went back to take rest.

It was Victoria’s class again, today was relaxing, too. We watched Shrek in English version, and this was my first time for me to watch it. After lunch, we had PE class in the afternoon, we played volleyball, dodge ball, and Frisbee. It was tiring.

Same morning again, we went to ate breakfast in restaurant. Then we went to have class as usual. Today was Ben’s class again, Ben taught us new idioms as usual. After class, we went to play soccer and Frisbee. But it was really too hot, so we went back to classroom to rest. After dinner, it was movie night, we watched Step up 3, the dances and the actors were so good, we also had popcorns and drinks during movie. After then, we went back to sleep.

Today we had brunch, after lunch, we went to our first stop, Stanford University. At there, we’d seen a beautiful church, we had took a picture of ourselves in front of the church. After then, we went to a store in the school, at there I’d bought a bottle of vanilla cream soda, it was so delicious. Also, I’d bought three key chains, two animal dolls with Stanford shirt and a Stanford mug. After that, we went to App company, but we only spent a few minutes there. Moreover, we went to a doughnut shop called Krispy Kream, at there, we’d tasted the best and the sweetest doughnut. Furthermore, we went to the Intel company and Google company. We took pictures with both company’s logo. The differences between Intel and Google was that Google have cute statues for tourists to take pictures, but Intel don’t. After the trip, we went back to have dinner and rest.

Today, we ate brunch again, then we head to San Fransisco to the Golden Gate bridge. It was really cold there, and the bridge was so beautiful. Near the bridge is the Alcatraz, the island was full of prisoners once, but it was a pity that we didn’t went on there. After taking some pictures of the spectacular sceneries, we went to the Palace of fine art. At there, there are some old buildings that’s in beautiful design, lots of tourists went there, too. Next, we went to the Fisherman’s Wharf, it was hustle and bustle there, I went to buy the world’s second best café, Peet’s café, at there I bought a cup of Caramel Macchiato. It was a little over sweet but I still love it. We’d taken pictures of the lobsters and crabs there. I bought a glass of sand and beautiful shells in it, a ring of a beard model that changes colors, two beautiful key chains with Golden Gate bridge and a mug of San Fransisco’s sceneries. Moreover, we went to see the Lombard Street, it was breath taking, the curved road with flowers and the overlook of San Fransisco were splendid. Last but not least, we went to visit City hall, at there, we’d met a foreigner, Nathaniel, he’s a nice music teacher. After then, we went back to school and take a rest.

In the morning after having breakfast, we had Ben’s class again, we’d Ben’s class again, we’d played a little game and learned some idioms. In the afternoon, we had swimming class, thanks to Klause, Elmo and so forth classmates, I’d learned how to swim backstroke. Then we had conversation class before dinner. In night activity, we played language games name Jeopardy, it was really interesting game, then we went back to rest.

Today was Victoria’s class, we’d played a game first, then we watched Zorro, it was a great movie, but we haven’t finished yet. After lunch, we had a little experience class in the afternoon, we used balloons to verse others balloons and see who can reach others goal. I don’t know how to blow a balloon, so I broke two of them. After class, I went to play basketball with other classmates, then I went up hills to watch the beautiful sunset, the scene was so beautiful that was out of my mind, then we came back and took a rest.

Today was Ben’s class, we’d draw a poster of a series of tourism schedules. After then, we made a presentation of introducing the schedule, just like a tourist guide. In afternoon we went to an amusement park which was called Livermore Boomer. At there, we played Go-Kart, which was driving the kart. I drove two times during the two hours. Then we went back to take a rest.

Today was Victoria’s class, we finished the movie, Zorro, it was really great. Also, we played a game that we divided into two teams. If one guessed the actions of what their acting right, they need to run and catch another team’s player. It was kind of cool and fun game to play. In the afternoon, played a game called mini-Olympics, we had tried lots of difficult games, it was really hard to try, but those were all interesting. Then we moved to our new dorm, and take a rest.

Today was Ben’s class, we made a presentation by talking a story. Also, we wrote some worksheets and reviewed the idioms of geography. Before class dismissed, we discussed the topics we want for the presentation at the last day. In the afternoon, some people come and talk about the proposal for entering East Bay. After then, I went back to dorm to take a rest. For night activity, we watched Step up4, and it was really great, the movie was very cool.

This morning, we had brunch as usual weekends, after then, we head to one of the most popular amusement park, Six flags. The most thrilling rollercoasters are all in the park. There are not only rollercoasters, but also zoo and water facilities. Due to the reason of I can’t facilities that are too exciting, so I didn’t play any of them. But I went to play water facilities and went to the zoo, too. I got so wet after playing water guns, and it was exciting as well. The animals were cute, too. I saw white tiger, Antarctic wolf and tigris. The most impressive animal was the dolphins. Dolphin show was great and wonderful, they did different unbelievable performances in the show. I ate a plate of chili cheese fries for lunch that day. After 5 p.m, we went back to dorm and I took a rest after then.

Today, we had brunch again. Next, we paid a visit at Berkeley University, the buildings there are old but beautiful, it was a famous school after all. There was a kind of market near the university, we took a look there to see what vendors sell. When it was almost 3 o’clock, we went to Livermore outlet, at there, we were like fighting a war. Everyone ran as fast as they could to buy the things they want, all the things there were all worthwhile, and it’ll be a big regret if we lost the chance to buy the things we’re eager for. After 5p.m, we went back to dorm and took a rest after dinner.

We had Ben’s class today, he gave us some time to prepare our presentation, after then we went to have lunch. In the afternoon, we had a karaoke party. Everyone chose their favorite songs and sang together. After then, we went to have dinner. After dinner we’d played Jeapordy and basketball for a while then I got back to dorm to rest and do the presentation.

Today was Victoria’s class. She showed us a movie called The Knight’s tale. It’s a good movie, I like it very much. When it’s about afternoon, we played a game called Scavenger Hunt. This game is so fun. We have to take pictures of different views in the campus, then go back to classroom to take the last photo and end the game. After dinner we played Jeapordy again. And then we went back to take a rest.

Today was Ben’s class, he gave us some phrases and idioms to use in presentations. After lunch, we went to downtown to go shopping to walk around. At there, we bought Candy’s cake because of her birthday. In the afternoon, KK and Monyca act so real that Cindy believed it. After that, we sang birthday song to Cindy and then watched movie again. After that, we went back to take a rest.

Today we had Victoria’s class, we practice the presentation first, and then we finished The Knight’s tale. After lunch, we went to the computer classroom to practice presentation. After that, I went back to take a rest at the dorm. After that, we had dinner with our assistants. It was a happy and touching time, I really like the warm feeling and atmosphere here. After dinner, we went to A1183 classroom to practice until 9p.m. We got the gifts with messages in it, it was really touching. Though I really want to stay there longer, but I think it’s time to go home.

Our group presented the differences of food culture between America and Taiwan. After presentation, we all got a certificate of this trip. Then we went to the room next to the conference room to have lunch. During lunch time, everyone grab the time to take pictures with Cindy, Brian and so forth. After that, we left East Bay and head to shopping mall. At there, we went to different luxury stores to look for different luxury stuffs. When it was about 6 p.m, we left the mall and head to airport and prepare to leave.
